Our Brands

Over the years, we have acquired and established complementary businesses that all meet the high standards you've come to expect from Wilkin & Sons. We're proud of all of our brands and hope that you'll enjoy them for years to come.

Tiptree

The first ‘Tiptree’ conserves were made in 1885 on the Tiptree estate and are still made here to this day. Fruit crops include strawberries, loganberries, mulberries and damsons to name but a few. Our signature fruit is the Little Scarlet strawberry, a tiny wild variety, originally brought to the UK by the Wilkin family in the early 1900's. We believe that we are unique in the world in growing this difficult crop, but it is worth it for the quality of conserve it provides.

We received our first Royal Warrant from George V in 1911 and remain Royal Warrant holders as purveyors of 'Tiptree' products to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

‘Tiptree’ products can now be found in over seventy countries, on luxury cruise liners, in five star hotels and on top airlines.

Thursday Cottage

Thursday Cottage was established over 50 years ago in 1963.

From humble beginnings in a thatched cottage in Somerset making a tiny range of preserves, Thursday Cottage now make over a hundred different products for a wide range of customers, both at home and abroad. Thankfully some things don't change and they still cook in small batches and hand fill their jams and marmalades (you get more whole fruit hand pouring).

Thursday Cottage produce a popular reduced sugar range which is specifically aimed at consumers who need to watch their sugar intake, view the full range of reduced sugar products on our website today.

Jules & Sharpie

Started in 2002, Jules & Sharpie produce uniquely flavoured products which are hand made with good natural ingredients. They all contain sweet hot scotch bonnet chillies, which have been very carefully prepared to their high standards. Try them in sauces, stir fries, sandwiches, dressings and marinades, or as a dip, glaze or barbecue flash.

Red and Brown Saucish are the latest scorchers from the chilli daredevils. Saucish is just too thick to be a sauce and isn’t quite a relish which is why it’s called Saucish. Long, slow cooking gives Saucish its special rich flavour and delicious depth of taste. Like all Jules & Sharpie products, they are extremely versatile.
