Easter at Home with Tiptree
We all hope it will be a sunny Easter weekend so that we can enjoy good food, preferably in the garden. Here are some of our suggestions that can be adapted for any time of the year. Details on the recipe page.
We start with an Easter Cocktail one of many cocktail suggestions in the recipe page.
Spring Salmon with fresh asparagus and Tiptree Mayonnaise with fresh herbs we served it with freshly made soda bread.
Spring Chicken with Barbecue Sauce – a simple pot roast dish that is delicious with roasted vegetables, potato and celeriac mash and a new idea of red cabbage with apple and Tiptree Mulberry Jelly.
Red cabbage with apple and Mulberry Jelly - This red cabbage bake can be prepared and cooked in advance and is best left to mature overnight before being reheated the next day.
Hot Cross Bun Pudding – slightly stale hot cross buns are ideal for this pudding but fresh ones will be fine, the Tiptree Orange Marmalade gives a refreshing flavour; best served with fresh single cream.
Apricot Marzipan Tart – topping a tart with marzipan may seem unusual but apricots and the almonds in the marzipan are a great combination. Serve with bio yoghurt to give a refreshing balance to this dessert.
Spiced Marmalade Cake – this spicy cake has the most delicious crunchy topping. Decorate with chocolate and marzipan balls or a nest for Easter. Have a slice of cake with a hot chocolate or morning coffee or spread Tiptree Lemon Curd on a slice at tea time.
Chocolate Marzipan Balls – a fun cake decoration for an Easter cake or any special cake – it might be a great challenge with the children to see who can make the neatest or the most fun chocolate marzipan treat.
