Ingredients
-
12 pieces of chicken (thighs and drumsticks – bone in, skin on)
-
1 x 310g bottle Tiptree Barbecue Sauce
Dry Rub
- 1tsp flaky sea salt
- 1tsp garlic powder
- 1tsp smoked paprika
- 1tsp chilli powder
- 1tsp onion powder
- 0.5tsp cracked black pepper
Directions
- On a large baking tray, lay the chicken out and pat dry with a paper towel.
In a small bowl, mix together all the dry rub ingredients. Sprinkle over both sides of the chicken pieces then rub into the skin using your hands, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Heat your BBQ to medium high. Once hot, lay the chicken on the grills then cover and cook for 30-35 minutes, flipping every 10 minutes.
Pour the Tiptree Barbecue Sauce into a bowl and using a pastry brush, brush half the sauce over the top of the chicken. (Saving some sauce for serving, if desired.)
- Cover the BBQ and cook for 3-5 minutes. Turn the chicken over, baste the over side in the remaining sauce.
- Cover the BBQ and cook for 3-5 minutes, until the sauce is sticky and the chicken is cooked all the way through.
- Remove from the BBQ and serve with more sauce, if desired!
