Beef Burgers with Red Onion Chutney

Skip the takeaway and create the ultimate gourmet burger at home with succulent beef patties, served in a buttery brioche bun stacked high with slices of ripe tomato, fresh red onion, and crispy lettuce. Topped generously with our sweet and tangy Red Onion Chutney these burgers deliver rich, caramelised flavours in every bite. Perfect for an easy midweek dinner, weekend treat or summer barbecue.
Ingredients

4 thick beef burger patties

4 brioche burger buns with sesame seeds on top

4 tsp mayonnaise

2 large red tomatoes

1 red onion
-
2 little gem lettuces

8 tbsp Tiptree Red Onion Chutney

4 slices of cheddar or melting burger cheese
Directions
Fry or grill the burger patties on a medium to high heat until the cooked to your liking, around 5-7 minutes per side.
Slice the tomatoes, red onion and lettuce and set aside.
Around 4 minutes before the burgers have finished cooking slice the brioche buns and place the cut side down on the grill or frying pan for 2 minutes until lightly toasted. Set aside.
During the last 2 minutes of cooking add a slice of cheese on top of each burger, allowing it to melt and become gooey.
Take the bottom of each brioche bun, spread with 1tsp of mayonnaise then layer with lettuce, sliced tomatoes, burger with cheese, and slices of red onion.
Spread the inside of the top burger bun with a generous amount of Tiptree Red Onion Chutney and place on top of the burger stack, pressing it down so that the juices melt into the bread.
Serve with your favourite oven fries or wedges.
Additional Information
Replace the beef burger with your favourite vegetarian burger if preferred.
