Marmalade Baked Oats

Start your day the cosy way with this marmalade baked oatmeal – so comforting and indulgent it almost feels like dessert for breakfast. Once baked, the oats take on the texture of a soft flapjack, with deliciously nutty, citrusy flavours. Made with our full-bodied dark ‘Tawny’ Orange Marmalade, it delivers a caramelised orange tang with satisfying thick peel, making it the perfect dish for a slow morning or relaxed weekend brunch.
Ingredients

Butter for greasing

1 small ripe banana

3 tbsp Tiptree ‘Tawny’ Orange Marmalade

Finely grated zest of 1 orange

1 large egg

130ml whole milk

2 tbsp Greek yoghurt

70g rolled porridge oats

20g ground almonds

1 tsp baking powder

Pinch of salt

10g flaked almonds

3 cut slices of peeled oranges
Directions
Preheat the oven to 180°C / 160°C fan / Gas Mark 4
Grease one small ovenproof baking dish, or 2 ramekins, with butter.
Prepare the wet ingredients. In a medium bowl mash the banana until smooth with a fork then mix in the marmalade, orange zest and egg. Gradually pour in the milk and yoghurt and whisk until smooth.
Mix the dry ingredients together, oats, ground almonds, baking powder and salt.
Add the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Top with the flaked almonds.
Pour into the prepared dish/dishes and bake for around 20-25 mins until set and golden.
Serve with sliced oranges on the side.
Additional Information
These can also be baked in the air fryer at 180ºC for around 15-20 minutes.
