THE CIRCUS COMES TO TIPTREE

“Happy’s Circus” came to Tiptree to provide entertainment for staff from Wilkin & Sons and people from the village.  This third generation family circus had a great cast who interacted with the audience and created fun for all the children – no scary painted clowns – but the opportunity to be amazed at the daring skills of the trapeze artists and even the family’s grandmother showing off her balancing act with a bicycle.

The colourful big top was erected in the Jubilee orchard on the edge of the farm and there was plenty of space for all the other attractions with bouncy castles, a road train, face painting, a barbeque from Millins, the Tiptree bus and a very popular ice cream cart.

“I was looking for a something new for the Wilkin & Sons Family Day and spotted the amazing Happy’s Circus who perform at schools and with charities,” said organizer Claire King from Tiptree.  “I first booked the circus in 2019 so I was very relieved to see it finally arrive on the Jubilee field just past the tea room last week.   500 staff and families from across the company had a great day out on Saturday and we decided to share the circus with people from the village on Sunday who also had a great time while raising funds for the four local primary schools.”

A huge thank you to all those who made it such a great day by providing great food, great entertainment and especially to Dan Waskett and to the farm people who managed the practical side of the event and organized parking and people.
