Wilkin & Sons is bringing its high-quality Tiptree brand of conserves to Tesco customers across Essex and the East of England.

Launching in 74 stores and online on 12 October, the range will include their East Anglian Strawberry jam, Apricot Conserve and Morello Cherry Jam.

The Wilkin family have been farming in Tiptree, Essex, since 1757, and producing our quality preserves since 1885. Using a wide range of traditional English fruits grown on their farm, they produce a wide variety of conserves, condiments, and other treats designed to brighten up mealtimes.

The fruit crops we grow include strawberries, raspberries, mulberries, Morello cherries, rhubarb, damson, and quince, and their signature fruit the Little Scarlet strawberry, a tiny wild variety, renowned for its depth of flavour.

All of our jams and conserves are prepared by hand, and cooked in small batches using traditional, copper-bottomed pans.

Bethany Auger, Buying Manager – England & Isle of Man said:

“We’re committed to supporting local growers and producers across the UK, helping to deliver fantastic quality products to our shelves. With our Tiptree Superstore featuring a mural which celebrates the long history of Wilkin & Sons in Tiptree, it feels very special to be launching the brand into stores across the East of England.  Tiptree jams use the best ingredients to produce their delicious conserves and we’re excited to see how customers respond to the new range.”

Jo Long, Tiptree Head of Sales:

“We’re incredibly proud to see Tiptree preserves reaching even more customers across the East of England through Tesco. As a family business with deep roots in Tiptree, quality and tradition remain at the heart of everything we do. From the fruit we grow to the care and craftsmanship that goes into every jar, we’re committed to producing preserves that people can enjoy and trust.

“It’s fantastic to see the brand reaching more customers through Tesco and taking another step towards becoming a familiar name on shelves across the country. We’d like the team for their hard work in making this happen.”
