Disappointing product

I'd never tasted almond butter before, so was looking forward to trying this. I'd never tasted almond butter before so was looking forward to trying this. Unfortunately I'm very disappointed with the product. On opening the jar, oil spilled all over my kitchen worktop. I therefore decided to mix the contents into a paste but, was unsuccessful. The resulting butter was very runny and had very little taste. I am surprised as both the Crunchy and Smooth peanut butters have been delicious.

Our History

The ‘Tiptree’ story begins around the early 1700s with Trewlands, the farm that was later to become the main site for jam-making in the Essex village of Tiptree. Today, there are some 11,000 inhabitants in what may well be the largest village in the country.

FRUIT

Today, we have a plentiful supply of a huge range of fruits, sometimes in many different varieties too. Yet it wasn’t always that way and thousands of years ago, the very first preserves were created in order to store that goodness for year-round use.

Farming

Our farm is LEAF Marque accredited (Linking Environment And Farming), recognising that we work sympathetically with our environment and encourage links with our local community. Fruit crops include strawberries, raspberries, mulberries, Morello cherries, rhubarb, damson, Victoria plum, greengage, quince, and the curious medlar.
