Genuine Manuka honey is produced in New Zealand by bees feeding on the Manuka bushes that grow wild in both North and South Island.
Manuka has strong anti-bacterial properties and can be rated as Active 5+, 10+, 15+, etc on the NPA (Non-Peroxide Activity) grading system, and 100+, 250+, 500+ etc on the MGO (Methylglyoxal) grading system. The higher the rating, the greater the anti-bacterial effect of the honey. Our Manuka Honey is rated 10+ on the NPA scale and 250+ on the MGO scale. In addition, each batch of our honey is DNA tested to ensure its authenticity. Our test results are available on our website, and we only release product for sale once these tests are completed satisfactorily.
